care for people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS in the Embo, Kwa Nyuswa,
Molweni and Hillcrest areas of the Valley of a Thousand Hills. Activities
include education and awareness (including producing materials); counselling
(including VCT rapid testing and HIV/AIDS counsellor training in Zulu);
home-based care (provided by registered nurses and volunteer caregivers);
material support (including food and clothing); and income generation.

and Resources in Early Education (TREE)

Activities
Training of preschool teachers and caregivers to provide quality early
childhood development (ECD) for young children (0-7 years) in disadvantaged
communities. TREE trains about 3000 people a year, with an impact on about
80 000 children annually. They also make and sell multi-cultural educational
toys and equipment, and print teacher and parent resource books.
